Nathanael Greene

Nathanael Greene is a seasoned expert in renewable energy policy, currently serving as a Senior Renewable Energy Advocate at the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) since September 1992. Greene's work focuses on offshore wind initiatives and the coordination of renewable energy projects nationwide, with emphasis on federal policy and strategic direction. Previous roles at NRDC include Deputy Director for Planning and Evaluation, where strategic resource allocation was optimized for a $135 million organization, and Director of Renewable Energy Policy, leading a cross-programmatic initiative for rapid renewable deployment. Greene has also collaborated with non-governmental organizations, industries, and regulatory bodies to advance energy policies in the Northeast. Additionally, Greene taught as an Adjunct Professor at Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs and conducted research at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. Greene holds a Master's degree in Energy and Resources from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor's degree in Public Policy from Brown University.
