Nola Dwyer-Hernandez is an experienced professional in the fields of education, sustainability, and political affairs. Currently serving as a Membership Assistant at the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC), Nola's previous roles include Substitute Teacher at the NYC Department of Education and Swing Education. While at SUNY Geneseo, Nola held the position of Student Sustainability Intern, where responsibilities included promoting sustainable practices, managing a composting initiative, and addressing food insecurity through the food security committee. Nola also completed a Political Affairs Internship with The Borgen Project, focusing on mobilizing grassroots advocacy efforts. Nola began a career in customer service as a Barista at City Bakery Brands, honing skills in financial communication and team collaboration. Nola holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from SUNY Geneseo and has also studied at the University of Groningen.
