Samantha Howlett

Samantha Howlett is a seasoned professional in ecology and conservation, currently serving as a Business Development Manager at NatureMetrics since August 2022, where Samantha collaborates with organizations and NGOs to utilize environmental DNA (eDNA) for biodiversity measurement. Previously, Samantha completed a PhD at Lancaster University, focusing on statistical modeling of coral reef data and conducting extensive research in ecological data analysis and management. Prior experiences include roles as a Research Assistant at the Silava-Latvian State Forestry Research Institute, a Contract Biologist with the Green Islands Foundation, and a Science Coordinator at Global Vision International, showcasing a strong background in fieldwork, data analysis, and project management across various ecological research initiatives. Samantha holds an MSc in Conservation from University College London and a 1st Class Honours degree in Animal Biology from the University of Gloucestershire.
