Christie Macdonald has extensive experience in conservation and environmental management, holding various managerial and analytical roles at the Nature Conservancy of Canada since April 2015, including Manager of Indigenous Conservation Partnerships and Northern Conservation Planning. Prior to this, Christie worked as an Ecosystems Analyst II at the British Columbia Conservation Foundation and served as an Arctic Science Technician with Indigenous and Northern Affairs Canada. Additional experience includes roles with Environment Canada as a GIS/Arctic Wildlife Technician, Biologist for Bird Conservation Regional Planning, and an Environmental Technologist at Dillon Consulting Limited. Christie’s educational background includes a Master’s of Science in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the University of Windsor, an Advanced Certificate in GIS for Environmental Management from the University of Toronto, and a Bachelor’s of Science in Zoology/Animal Biology from The University of British Columbia.
