Dorothy Sanford

Dorothy Sanford, FCPA, FCA, currently serves as a member of the Investment Committee at Nature Conservancy of Canada and as Chair of the Investor Advisory Panel at CIRO/OCRI. Previously, Dorothy was a board member and audit committee chair for the Nature Conservancy of Canada from 2013 to September 2022 and held the same positions at Uranium Participation Corp from 2016 to July 2021. As President of the MFDA Investor Protection Corporation from 2014 to April 2019, Dorothy managed the only compensation fund approved by the Canadian Securities Administrators for MFDA Dealer Members. Dorothy also operated a regulatory consulting business from 2012 to April 2019, focusing on risk management and compliance. Additional experience includes directorial roles at the Canadian Cancer Society and significant positions at PricewaterhouseCoopers and Deloitte & Touche. Dorothy holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from Queen's University and an MBA in Finance from the University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management.
