Mohammad Aatish Khan has a wealth of experience in the field of climate finance and innovation. Mohammad Aatish began their career in 2009 as a Program Officer and Program Associate at Winrock International. In 2014, they moved to the Ministry of State, Government of Republic of Palau as a Climate Finance Negotiator. In 2015, they held two positions simultaneously, as a Speth Fellow - International Program & India Initiative at the Natural Resources Defense Council and a Climate Finance Expert, Climate Finance & Post 2015 Climate Agreement at the Yale Center for Environmental Law & Policy. Also in 2015, they were an MIT Climate Colab Fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). In 2016, they became Vice President Business Strategy at YES BANK. From 2017 to 2019, they were Principal Development & Lead - Energise at Xynteo, and in 2019 they became Co-founder & Director at NatureDots. Finally, in 2023 they were named a Top Innovator at UpLink - World Economic Forum.
Mohammad Aatish Khan has a diverse educational background, beginning with a B.E. (Honours) in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Rajiv Gandhi Prodyogiki Vishwavidyalaya, obtained in 2006. Mohammad Aatish then completed a Master's Degree in Environmental Management with a minor in Conservation & Livelihood Management from the Indian Institute of Forest Management in 2009. In 2014, they obtained a Master's Degree in Climate Finance & Sustainable Solutions from the Yale School of the Environment, as well as a Masters of Environmental Management from the Yale University School of Forestry & Environmental Studies with a focus on International Environment-Development, Climate Finance & Sustainable Solutions. Additionally, Khan has obtained several certifications, including Financing for Development from The World Bank in 2015, Model Thinking - Complex Systems and Political Economy from University of Michigan & Coursera in 2013, Social and Economic Networks: Models and Analysis from Stanford University & Coursera in 2013, and Property and Liability: An Introduction to Law and Economics from Wesleyan University & Coursera in 2013.
