Dr. Debbie Saunders is a conservation ecologist and entrepreneur with extensive experience in biodiversity and conservation initiatives. As the Co-Founder and CEO of NatureHelm since October 2022, Debbie is focused on the emerging biodiversity accounting market and its potential for large-scale conservation efforts. Debbie is also the Founder, CEO, and Chief Remote Pilot of Wildlife Drones, where innovative drone technology is used for animal tracking. With a background in research, Debbie holds a postdoctoral position at the Australian National University, leading projects on threatened species, including securing funding for habitat conservation for the critically endangered Swift Parrot. Previous roles include consulting for the Commonwealth Department of Sustainability and working on various projects related to endangered species recovery and sustainable agriculture. Dr. Saunders completed a PhD in Environmental Studies at The Australian National University and holds an Honours degree in Ecology from UNSW.
