Mark Bechara

Mark Bechara has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of microbial technology and fermentation. Mark is currently the Director of Process Engineering and Technology at Nature's Fynd since 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Novozymes from 2014 to 2022, holding multiple roles including Senior Manager of Microbial Technology and Director of East Coast Dev Center for Microbial Platforms. In these positions, they led various projects, managed a large team, provided technical support, and played a key role in new product development and launch.

Before joining Novozymes, Bechara worked at Sylvan Inc from 2008 to 2014, where they served as Director of Production and Operations and Operations Manager. In these roles, they were responsible for overseeing manufacturing operations, inventory management, and ensuring process, equipment, and labor efficiencies. Mark also worked as a Senior Research Scientist, focusing on product and process development in solid-state fermentation.

Bechara's early career involved teaching as an Instructor at Penn State University from 2007 to 2008.
