Erwin Vink

Erwin Vink is a seasoned professional in sustainability and environmental affairs, currently serving as the Global Director of Sustainability at NatureWorks since November 2000. Responsibilities include sustainable feedstock sourcing by ISCC PLUS and overseeing global Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) activities. Erwin is involved in standardization efforts as a member of CEN and ISO Working Groups focused on biobased and biodegradable plastics, sustainability, and circular economy. In addition, Erwin is a board member of Holland Bioplastics and participates in various working groups within European Bioplastics. Prior to this role, Erwin worked as the Environmental Affairs Manager at NatureWorks, focusing on LCA and sustainable feedstock from the inception of the company. Erwin's career began at The Dow Chemical Company in 1984, where involvement included LCA projects and environmental health and safety for products. Erwin holds a Master of Science degree in Chemistry from Utrecht University and completed studies at the Higher Laboratory School in Breda, The Netherlands.
