Matthew Rees has a robust background in indirect tax, currently serving as the Head of Indirect Tax at NatWest Group since April 2024. Previously, Matthew held the position of Group Head of Indirect Taxes at Schroders from January 2016 to February 2024. Matthew's extensive experience in the field began at PwC, where roles included Head of Investment Management VAT, Indirect Tax Manager/Senior Manager, and Indirect Tax Consultant from September 2002 to December 2015. Matthew holds a degree in Chemistry from the University of Oxford, completed between 1998 and 2002, and attended Solihull School from 1993 to 1998.
