Tim Johnson

Tim Johnson is a seasoned professional in the payments and digital verification sectors, currently serving as the Digital Verification Lead at NatWest Group since January 2025. With a diverse career encompassing roles as the Founder and Director of Ivy Lane Consulting Limited and Head of Strategy at Tyl by NatWest, Tim has extensively developed strategies for merchant acquiring and open banking payments. Previous positions include Strategy Director at Raidiam, where Tim implemented open banking ecosystems across multiple countries, and Senior Policy Consultant for Open Banking, focusing on the development of APIs and standards. Tim's earlier experience also includes significant roles at the European Payment Institutions Federation, Elavon Financial Services Limited, Barclays, and Barclaycard, highlighting expertise in strategic planning, corporate strategy, and product development. Tim holds a Master’s degree in Mathematics from Durham University.
