Matthew Gallant is a seasoned game director and designer with extensive experience at Naughty Dog since September 2012, contributing to critically acclaimed titles such as The Last of Us Part I and The Last of Us Part II Remastered. In addition to serving as a game director, Matthew held the role of lead systems designer for The Last of Us Part II, where responsibilities included managing production processes, leading combat design, and enhancing accessibility features. Prior to duties at Naughty Dog, Matthew worked as a game designer at LightBox Interactive on Starhawk and completed internship roles at IBM, Research In Motion, and 123 Certification, focusing on software development and programming. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Software Engineering from Concordia University and a DEC in Pure & Applied Science from Champlain College St. Lambert.
