Dirk van Gerven

Dirk Van Gerven is a highly experienced legal professional currently serving as the Director of the Poelaert Foundation since June 2011 and the Chamber President of Disciplinary Court for the Nederlandstalige Ordes van het arrondissement van het Hof van Beroep since September 2024. As a Partner at NautaDutilh since 1999, Van Gerven has contributed significantly to one of the largest independent law firms in the Benelux, having also held the position of Managing Partner of the Brussels Office until April 2025 and Partner in M&A and Capital Markets. Additional roles include Chairperson at Steerco Poelaert since April 2019, and previous positions on the Supervisory Board of the FSMA from April 2011 to April 2020, as well as leadership roles at Brusselse balie from 1996 to 2013. Van Gerven earned a Master of Laws degree from the Catholic University of Louvain, completing studies between 1980 and 1985.
