Jarrod Sanderson has a wide range of work experience in various roles and industries. Jarrod started their career in 2004 as a Ranch Supervisor at Butterfield Youth Services, where they supervised staff members and residents, facilitated case management, and managed the ranch's budget and maintenance needs. In 2007, they transitioned to Catholic Charities of Kansas City-St. Joseph as a Foster Care Case Manager and later became a Program Manager, Concepts for Effective Services, supervising nonprofit partner agencies and managing program budgets.

In 2011, Sanderson took on multiple roles at Catholic Charities, including Director of Children and Family Services, Senior Care Services, and Counseling Services. In these positions, they directed and coordinated various programs and departments, managed personnel and development, and oversaw services for foster care, senior care, and counseling.

Sanderson's next role was as the Executive Director of Housing Development at Catholic Charities from 2015 to 2019, where they served as an asset manager for multiple senior living properties, provided oversight for management and services, and researched potential housing development opportunities.

From 2016 to 2019, Sanderson also served as the Executive Director of Neighborhoods of Hope Community Housing, where they oversaw all aspects of a comprehensive Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO), including the development of low-income housing projects and transitional co-housing.

In 2018, Sanderson worked as a Senior Consultant at Encore Nonprofit Solutions, providing consulting services. Jarrod then became an Adjunct Professor at the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 2014.

Sanderson's most recent positions include Chief Operating Officer at EPEC's The Grooming Project from 2021 to 2022 and Board Member from 2022 to the present. Currently, they hold the position of Chief Operating Officer at Nautical Fulfillment & Logistics, LLC from 2022 to the present. Throughout their career, Sanderson has demonstrated leadership and expertise in operations, housing development, program management, and consulting.

Jarrod Sanderson completed their MSW (Masters of Social Work) from the University of Missouri-Kansas City from 2006 to 2008.
