Sonal Tonapi

Sonal Tonapi is an experienced biotechnology professional specializing in aptamer discovery and affinity reagent development, currently serving as the Manager of Aptamer Discovery at Nautilus Biotechnology since August 2018. In this role, Sonal leads the development of new workflows, manages cross-functional teams, and drives critical organizational projects. Previous positions include Aptamer Discovery Lead and Senior Scientist, where notable contributions included mentoring early-career scientists and enhancing development pipelines. Sonal's earlier career includes research positions at Caris Life Sciences, focusing on non-invasive cancer profiling and drug target identification, and at the University of Texas Health Science Center, investigating DNA damage response mechanisms.
