Domingos Barbosa

Domingos Barbosa serves as the Vice Presidente at Câmara Municipal de Vila do Porto since October 2021 and operates as the Company Owner of Ilha Mãe edições Lda. from November 2016. With a long-standing career at NAV PORTUGAL EPE since October 1995, Barbosa held various roles, including Shift Manager atc ops room, Air Traffic Controller, Santa Maria Oceanic Supervisor and Safety Interlocutor, and Operations Manager, as well as an Air Traffic Controller Instructor. Additionally, Barbosa served on the Jurí de Exames de Náutica de Recreio at DGRM from January 2002 to September 2023. Earlier experience includes serving as a Deck Officer / Piloto da Marinha Mercante at Transinsular from August 1992 to September 1995. Barbosa holds a Bachelor’s degree in Marine Transportation from Escola Superior Náutica Infante D. Henrique, completed in 1992.
