Jean Gauthier

Jean Gauthier has extensive experience in the naval defense sector, currently serving as Vice President of Underwater Weapons and as St-Tropez Site Director at Naval Group since January 2017. Gauthier also holds the title of NAVAL 2025 Chief Transformation Officer and previously led R&D and Innovation efforts. Prior to Naval Group, Gauthier worked at DCN from September 1996 to December 2016, where significant roles included SSBN Senior Architect, managing the design of the next generation of French SSBNs, and overseeing major overhaul programs for French nuclear submarines. Gauthier's educational background includes an Ingénieur degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from ENSTA, an Auditor and President title from the HESM program focused on High Strategic Studies for the Mediterranean area, and foundational education from Lycée Militaire d'Aix en Provence.
