Tim Barnard

Tim Barnard serves as the Deputy Chief Technology Officer and Director of the NAVSEA Technology Office at Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) since March 2018, following a prior role as Assistant Chief Technology Officer and Special Projects from June 2012 to March 2018. Barnard's career at NAVSEA also includes positions as a NAVSEA Fellow focused on Acquisition & Systems Engineering and R&D Program Manager, among others, showcasing extensive expertise in technology transition and naval architecture. Barnard's academic background includes a Master of Science in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Architecture from Ball State University.
