Jenaro Sánchez

In his role as Chief Technology Officer, Jenaro brings many years of experience to Navantia Australia. He is responsible for the functions related to the Technology and Digital transformation, supporting the development of the Navantia Australia strategy through the use of technological resources and the digital transformation of products and processes. Jenaro is also the point of contact for the 4.0 Industry Corporate Strategy. The CTO directs the ICT services, cybersecurity technologies, Research & Development (R&D), process digitalisation and smart sustainment activities.

Jenaro has been involved in several Navy projects including the AWD Platform System Designer program as Australian resident team Engineering Manager from 2008 until 2010.

Jenaro commenced employment with Navantia in Spain in 1989 and has worked in many different areas such as Production, Test and Activation, Engineering, Systems Engineering and Quality management. He joined Navantia Australia in 2017.

Jenaro holds a Masters in Physics Science (Electronics) and Ph.D. (Doctorate) in Industrial Engineering.
