Christopher Hart

Director, Inflatable Technologies at Navatek

Christopher Hart has over 40 years of experience as a naval architect/engineer. Starting in 1978, they worked as a Naval Architect at the David Taylor Model Basin (NSWC Carderock Div). In 1991, they became the Principal Naval Architect at Swath International Limited, where they were responsible for seakeeping and speed/power predictions, stability analysis, active ride control system design, and scale model testing of new commercial SWATH designs. In 2002, they joined Navatek LLC, where they have been for the past 18 years. In this role, they have been the Director of Inflatable Technologies and the Regional Director of the East Coast. Christopher has directed full scale sea trials, model tests and hydrodynamic performance analyses of many of Navatek's unique high performance vessel designs and military prototypes. Christopher has also proposed, planned and directed R&D of advance marine vehicles. Their current focus is on the development of inflatable technology including new materials, hardware and computer tools for use in various inflatable applications.

Christopher Hart received their Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland in 1980. Christopher then went on to receive their Master of Science in Ocean and Marine Engineering from The George Washington University in 1989.
