Haanju Yoo

Haanju Yoo serves as the Director of Digital Healthcare LAB at NAVER Cloud since January 2023, following a leadership role at NAVER Corp from June 2021 to December 2022. Prior experience includes a position as Staff Software Engineer at Samsung Electronics within the Global AI Center from September 2018 to May 2021, and as a Research Assistant Professor at Dankook University from September 2016 to July 2018, where projects focused on machine learning and computer vision. Haanju's background also includes research roles at Seoul National University from March 2009 to August 2016 and co-founding two startups, Viva Republica (Toss) and Ulabla. Haanju holds a PhD and BS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Seoul National University. Research interests encompass computer vision, machine learning, and nonlinear optimization.
