Shannon Whitley

Shannon Whitley has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Shannon started their career at X-Bar Controls as an Electrical Controls Engineer and Applications Developer from 1992 to 1996. Shannon then moved on to Pinkerton Services Group, where they worked as an Information Systems Architect from 1996 to 2000. Following that, they became the President of iNetXtreme, Inc. from 1999 to 2008. In 2008, they joined Global Compliance (now NAVEX Global) as the Director of Product Development, a role they held until 2012. At NAVEX Global, they served as the Sr. Director of Software Engineering and Application Architect from 2008 to 2015. Currently, they hold the position of Sr. Director of Information Security at NAVEX Global since 2015. Shannon Whitley possesses several certifications including CCISO, CISSP, CISA, and GWAPT.

Shannon Whitley's education history includes attending EC-Council and completing a Whitehat AppSec Bootcamp. In addition to their education, Shannon has obtained multiple certifications including Certified Chief Information Security Officer (CCISO) from EC-Council in 2015, Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) from ISACA in 2016, and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from ISC² in 2014. Shannon also holds the GIAC Web Application Penetration Tester (GWAPT) certification from GIAC in 2015. They have further certifications from Microsoft, including Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA) and Microsoft Certified Solution Developer (MCSD), both obtained in 2002. Shannon recently obtained the Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer (CDPSE) certification from ISACA in 2021.
