Frank K. Christensen has extensive experience in project management and engineering, currently serving as Manager of Project Planning and Execution at Naviair since April 2005. In this role, Frank oversees project managers and safety management experts within the ATM Projects and Engineering department and is responsible for facilitating the Program Steering Group and Investment Committee meetings. Previous positions at Naviair include Program Manager and Manager of Project Management, as well as serving as Project Manager for the CASIMO Verification and Validation project. Before joining Naviair, Frank worked at Nokia Mobile Phones R&D in Denmark from January 1998 to March 2005 in various project management roles, including RF Project Manager and SW Program Manager for fourth-generation mobile phones. Frank's career commenced at AMP Ferroperm Components where responsibilities included the development of passive SMD devices for the telecom sector. Frank holds a Ph.D. in Material Science and Electrical Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark.

Naviair

Provision of air navigation services is Naviair’s first and foremost priority, i.e. to provide its services in an efficient and expeditious way, guiding aircraft safely through Danish airspace with minimum delays. Naviair offers training of all operative staff at its own college - of which that of Air Traffic Controllers constitutes the primary part - and operates and maintains the advanced technical systems and air navigation aids. The initial training takes place at Entry Point North, the joint Scandinavian Academy i Malmö. Naviair has a staff of approximately 640 persons most of which are Air Traffic Controllers and technical staff, and runs a business of approximately DKK 900m a year.
