Naviair
Helle Borg Erlang has extensive experience in air traffic management, currently serving as a Training Course Supervisor and Air Traffic Controller in ACC Copenhagen at Naviair since August 2009. Prior to this, Helle was a Senior ATM expert for the COOPANS Alliance from October 2016 to August 2019, focusing on SESAR projects as the Point of Contact for PJ. 10 and serving as the Primary Focal Point. Helle also held the position of ATM expert within the same organization from November 2011 to February 2014, specializing in MTCD. Helle's career in air traffic management began as a FIC-operator at Naviair from February 2003 to January 2007, providing Flight Information Services in the Sondrestrom FIR. Helle holds a Bachelor's degree in Air Traffic Control from Entry Point North, obtained between 2007 and 2009.
Naviair
Provision of air navigation services is Naviair’s first and foremost priority, i.e. to provide its services in an efficient and expeditious way, guiding aircraft safely through Danish airspace with minimum delays. Naviair offers training of all operative staff at its own college - of which that of Air Traffic Controllers constitutes the primary part - and operates and maintains the advanced technical systems and air navigation aids. The initial training takes place at Entry Point North, the joint Scandinavian Academy i Malmö. Naviair has a staff of approximately 640 persons most of which are Air Traffic Controllers and technical staff, and runs a business of approximately DKK 900m a year.
