Henrik Sand-Grimnitz has been an Air Traffic Controller - TWR/APP and Senior ATM Expert at Naviair since September 1999, currently leading an operational study on an arrival concept for air traffic to Copenhagen, which encompasses various methodologies such as Extended AMAN, RNP Approaches, and Time Based Separation. Prior to this role, Henrik served as Head of Procedures and Airspace Expert at NUAC HB from 2007 to 2015. Educational qualifications include a degree in Air Traffic Control from Naviair (1996-1999) and a degree as a Financial Advisor from Ringkjøbing Landbobank (1992-1994).

Naviair

Provision of air navigation services is Naviair’s first and foremost priority, i.e. to provide its services in an efficient and expeditious way, guiding aircraft safely through Danish airspace with minimum delays. Naviair offers training of all operative staff at its own college - of which that of Air Traffic Controllers constitutes the primary part - and operates and maintains the advanced technical systems and air navigation aids. The initial training takes place at Entry Point North, the joint Scandinavian Academy i Malmö. Naviair has a staff of approximately 640 persons most of which are Air Traffic Controllers and technical staff, and runs a business of approximately DKK 900m a year.
