Naviair
Michael Pierre Nielsen is an experienced IT professional currently serving as the IT Operation Lead at Naviair since February 2023. Prior roles include IT consultant at Forenede Gruppeliv from August 2014 to July 2022, and IT manager for ALDI Danmark, where responsibilities encompassed managing IT equipment, network, and IT platforms across Denmark from January 2011 to June 2013. Earlier experience includes positions as IT technician at Skako Industries A/S, IT support at APC by Schneider Electric, and consultant in design at VA Form Design und Gestalttung GmbH. Michael holds a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture from Technische Hochschule Darmstadt and various certifications, including MCSE and CCNA, obtained from Syddansk Erhvervsakademi between 2000 and 2010.
Naviair
Provision of air navigation services is Naviair’s first and foremost priority, i.e. to provide its services in an efficient and expeditious way, guiding aircraft safely through Danish airspace with minimum delays. Naviair offers training of all operative staff at its own college - of which that of Air Traffic Controllers constitutes the primary part - and operates and maintains the advanced technical systems and air navigation aids. The initial training takes place at Entry Point North, the joint Scandinavian Academy i Malmö. Naviair has a staff of approximately 640 persons most of which are Air Traffic Controllers and technical staff, and runs a business of approximately DKK 900m a year.
