René Andersen is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in project management, particularly in the aeronautics and government sectors. Currently serving as a Senior Project Manager at Naviair since February 2019, René has led the COOPANS project. Prior to this role, René was a Senior Project Manager at Insurance Business Applications and served as Project and Services Manager at IDS Australasia, overseeing implementations of Aeronautical Information Systems for RAAF AIS and Airservices Australia. René's career also includes significant tenure at Intergraph Denmark as an Account Manager and Project Manager, along with roles at DHI and VKI focusing on application development and GIS systems. René holds an M.Sc. in Computer Science and a B.Sc. in Linguistics from the University of Copenhagen.

Naviair

Provision of air navigation services is Naviair’s first and foremost priority, i.e. to provide its services in an efficient and expeditious way, guiding aircraft safely through Danish airspace with minimum delays. Naviair offers training of all operative staff at its own college - of which that of Air Traffic Controllers constitutes the primary part - and operates and maintains the advanced technical systems and air navigation aids. The initial training takes place at Entry Point North, the joint Scandinavian Academy i Malmö. Naviair has a staff of approximately 640 persons most of which are Air Traffic Controllers and technical staff, and runs a business of approximately DKK 900m a year.
