Luis Medina Zambrano has a diverse work experience in various finance and administration roles. Luis started their career in 1991 as a Finance Analyst at Frutos y Vegetales del Peru S.A. and later worked at ALIMENTOS TECNOLOGICOS S.A. - ALITEC in a similar role. In 1994, they served as a Consultant at Invierta SRL. Luis then moved on to Cía. Minera Sayapullo S.A. as the Finance and Administration Manager, followed by a similar role at BHL Peru S.A. in 1996. In 1999, they joined Ultranav - S.A. as the Finance and Administration Manager before being promoted to the Corporate Administration Manager at Ultranav in 2003. Luis also held the role of CFO at Naviera Transoceánica S.A., a Peruvian shipping company partly owned by Ultranav. In 2003, Luis participated in the Anatomy of Shipping program at the Cambridge Academy of Transport in Cambridge, UK, furthering their knowledge in the field.

For their postgraduate studies, Luis completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez in 1998-1999. This program had an international focus. Lastly, they earned a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) in Economics from Universidad del Pacífico (PE) between 1985 and 1991.
