Dag Von Appen

Dag Von Appen is the current Director at Navigator Gas, and was previously the Chief Executive Officer of Ultragas ApS from May 2021 to August 2022. Prior to that, they were the Chief Operating Officer of Ultranav from January 2013 to March 2014, and the EVP - Head of Business Development of Ultranav from January 2007 to December 2012.

Dag has been active in the maritime transportation industry for over 20 years, and has been responsible for overall operations, business development, and finance & administration for companies active in the liquid, dry, and gas cargo segments. Dag has a wealth of experience in managing fleets of maritime vessels, and today they oversee a fleet of 56 gas carriers ranging in size from 3,500 to 38,000 cbm.

Dag Von Appen studied industrial engineering at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and then earned an MBA from the school. Dag later attended Harvard Business School, where they earned an AMP.
