Francesco Barbata has a diverse work experience in the engineering field. Francesco began their career as a Chemical Process Engineer-Biomass processing at Arbolt tradingLTD in January 2015, where they worked until September 2017. Francesco then joined G.Barbata Engineering consultancy as a Project Engineer from September 2017 to April 2019. Most recently, they have been working as a Process Engineer at Navigator Terminals since March 2023.
Francesco Barbata began their education journey in 2002 at the Università degli Studi di Palermo, where they studied for 14 years until 2016. However, the specific field of study for this period is not provided. In 2021, Francesco enrolled at the University of Surrey, focusing on chemical process systems engineering. In terms of additional certifications, Francesco obtained the IETLS academic certification from the British Council in March 2021. Additionally, in February 2019, they received the Engineer certification in various fields such as Chemical, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Mining, and Petroleum from the Ordine Degli Ingegneri Della Provincia di Palermo.

Navigator Terminals is an independent bulk liquid storage provider with over 1.28 million cubic metres (cbm) of storage capacity. Formed in 2016, Navigator operates four terminals, each strategically located in major UK ports and serving key demand centres within the UK. Across these locations we are able to offer our customer’s unique storage solutions for crude, petroleum, aviation, chemical, bitumen, liquefied gas and biofuel products. Our extensive knowledge and experience of handling such a wide range of specialist products shows our versatility in adapting to ever-changing markets. With state-of-the-art petrol blending facilities and industry-leading road loading racks, we can ensure that our customers have the best experience in the country. Our terminals are pipeline-connected to local chemical manufacturing facilities and gas processing plants and each facility has been approved as a Upper Tier COMAH site. Our priority is to ensure the safe operation of its facilities, to deliver continuous product availability and to provide the highest level of customer service. We will continue to invest in infrastructure both at existing and new facilities to enable us to maintain these priorities and ensure our customers are able to grow and succeed. We have a well-trained and knowledgeable management team with over 200 years operating experience in the sector.
