Kim Lim Fong has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. In 2009, they began their career as a German <> English translator at Daimler TSS, where they provided translation and proofreading services for software development documentation. Kim Lim then joined Mercedes-Benz Malaysia in 2010 as an Executive in AfterSales Application Support, where they provided 1st level application support and successfully improved incident ticketing system usage.

In 2012, Kim joined Mercedes-Benz Services Malaysia Sdn Bhd as an Assistant Manager and played a pivotal role in launching the company's IT infrastructure and software systems within a tight timeline. Kim Lim then transitioned to a Project Manager role at Silverlake Capital Market Solution in 2014, where they led planning and monitoring of software development projects.

In 2015, Kim worked as a Customer Delivery Specialist at Hewlett-Packard Financial Services, handling leasing contracts within the Australia & New Zealand region. Kim Lim then moved on to become a Commercial Account Manager at Navitaire, an Amadeus company, in 2016. In this role, they focused on account management for AirAsia, specifically supporting their major system upgrade project.

Kim Lim Fong began their education at SEGi College Subang Jaya in 2002, where they pursued a Cambridge A-Level degree in Physics, Chemistry, Maths, and Additional Maths. Kim Lim completed this program in 2003. In 2005, they enrolled at Universität Passau and graduated in 2008 with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. Additionally, Kim Lim Fong obtained several certifications throughout their career, including ITIL - IT Service Management, Foundation Level from ITIL in April 2014, ISTQB Certified Tester from the ISTQB - International Software Testing Qualifications Board in March 2010, and TestDaF (Test of German as Foreign Language) from the TestDaF Institut in November 2004.
