Aleks Armstrong

Aleks leads the Reservoir and Geoscience functions and is currently progressing the development of the greenfield Sea Lion Development in the North Falklands basin and nearby surrounding prospects. Aleks began his career in Subsea Engineering, before pivoting to Reservoir Engineering where he specialised in Field Development Planning and Reservoir Management. Aleks has gained a reputation of leading multidiscipline teams and collaborating across the value chain to efficiently monetize oil and gas assets from exploration and development through to abandonment. He has over 26 years of experience in oil and gas operations, having worked with Super Majors, Independent Oil Companies and EPC Contractors in a diverse range of international locations during his career.

Aleks holds a BEng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering from Nottingham Trent University, an MSc in Petroleum Engineering from Imperial College, London and an MBA from Edinburgh Business School.
