Iain Ridley

Iain Ridley has a diverse and extensive work experience. Iain started their career at Atlantis Diesel Engines in 1990 as a Senior Engineer. Iain then worked at Axis EU as a Lead Engineer from 1997 to 1998. Iain joined Ricardo in 1998 and served as a Technology Leader until 2006. From 2006 to 2010, they worked at AVL as a Chief Engineer. Iain then moved to General Compression as the SVP of Engineering from 2010 to 2013. Iain joined EcoMotors in 2013, where they held the positions of VP Engineering and later VP Technology until 2017. Iain then worked at Achates Power as Chief Engineer from 2017 to 2018. From 2019 to 2021, they served as the Director of Business Development at AVL. Currently, Iain is employed at Navitas Systems, LLC, holding the roles of Snr Engineering Manager and Director of Systems Engineering and Product Management since 2021.

Iain Ridley obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Automotive Engineering from the University of Hertfordshire in 2004. Prior to that, they completed a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Management at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology in 1994. Iain'searliest educational achievement was an HND in Mechanical Engineering, also obtained from the Cape Peninsula University of Technology, in 1989.
