Matthew Pavelek is the President and CEO of the National Veteran-Owned Business Association, a position held since December 2006, where oversight of efforts to connect corporate allies with Certified Veteran's Business Enterprises is a primary responsibility. In addition, Matthew serves as an Adjunct Instructor at Eastern Kentucky University since August 2012, teaching courses in journalism, writing, communication, and public speaking. Previously, from August 2011 to December 2014, Matthew was a Primary Instructor and Doctoral Candidate at the University of Kentucky, where responsibilities included teaching integrated strategic communications and related subjects. Matthew earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Communication and Media Studies from the University of Kentucky, a Master of Arts in Mass Communication/Media Studies from Point Park University, a Bachelor of Science in Communication, Journalism, and Related Programs from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania, and an Associate of Arts in Communications from Butler County Community College.
