Electrical Engineering Team Lead at NavVis

Matthias Wagner has a comprehensive and diverse work experience. Matthias began their career at Curamik Electronics GmbH as a Mechatronics engineer in 2005, and then worked as a Process Engineer from 2009 to 2009. As an intern at Continental in 2012, they gained valuable industry experience. Matthias then joined Ostbayerische Technische Hochschule Regensburg as a Student Assistant from 2013 to 2016, where they also completed their Bachelor's thesis. Wagner continued their academic journey at Texas Instruments, where they worked on their Master's thesis from January to July 2016. In 2015, they co-founded AERIA Multicopter Solutions, a pioneering startup in the drone industry, where they served as a Co-Founder until August 2017. At AERIA, they led the technical development, hardware product vision, team leadership, and market research. Matthias joined NavVis in 2016 as a System Design Engineer and later took on roles as a Senior Electrical Engineer and Electrical Engineering Team Lead, where they are responsible for leading the team.

Matthias Wagner holds a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) degree in Electrical and Microsystems Engineering from Ostbayerische Technische Hochschule Regensburg, which they obtained from 2014 to 2016. In 2015, they also attended Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) to study Multicore Reliable Embedded Systems. Prior to their master's degree, Matthias completed their Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Electrical Engineering from Ostbayerische Technische Hochschule Regensburg between 2010 and 2014.
