Robert Haemer is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in the nuclear energy sector. Currently serving as Senior Nuclear Counsel for American Electric Power since February 2012, Robert provides legal advice for the Donald C. Cook nuclear power station. In addition, Robert holds prominent roles within the Navy League of the United States, including National Judge Advocate and positions on the Steering and Executive Committees, as well as Board of Directors for the Northern Virginia Council. Prior to their current role, Robert was Counsel at Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP, focusing on energy and environmental law, particularly for the nuclear industry. Robert's career began in the U.S. Navy, where Robert served as an LCDR with the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Directorate. Academic credentials include a Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis.
