Darla Hilmoe has an extensive professional background with over two decades of administrative and executive support experience. Currently serving as Executive Assistant at NAYA Family Center since June 2010, Darla previously held the position of Administrative Assistant at The Oregonian from October 2001 to November 2009. Earlier in their career, Darla worked as a Marketing Assistant at PepsiCo - Frito Lay from May 1996 to September 2001. Darla's educational background includes studies at Oregon State University from 1988 to 1991 and graduation from Powers High School in 1988.

NAYA Family Center's mission is "to enhance the diverse strengths of our youth and families in partnership with the community through cultural identity and education." The Native American Youth and Family Center in Portland, Oregon, works to enrich the lives of our Native youth and families through education, community involvement, and culturally specific programming. We have provided educational services, cultural arts programming, and direct support to reduce poverty to the Portland metropolitan area's American Indian and Alaska Native community for over 40 years.
