NAYA Family Center
Letisia Ayala is an experienced professional in community health and youth advocacy, currently serving as a Community Health Specialist II for School Based Health Centers at Multnomah County Health Department since January 2016. In addition, Letisia has been a College Preparation Specialist and Youth Advocate at NAYA Family Center since October 2010, where advocacy for over 50 at-risk youth and their families involves coordinating services with mental health agencies. Previous roles include Teacher Counselor at Youth Villages, Senior Counselor at Southern Oregon University, and SUN Activity Leader at Metropolitan Family Service, each focusing on empowering youth through counseling, mentoring, and culturally relevant programming. Letisia holds a BA in Social Science from Portland State University and an AAOT from Chemeketa Community College.

NAYA Family Center's mission is "to enhance the diverse strengths of our youth and families in partnership with the community through cultural identity and education." The Native American Youth and Family Center in Portland, Oregon, works to enrich the lives of our Native youth and families through education, community involvement, and culturally specific programming. We have provided educational services, cultural arts programming, and direct support to reduce poverty to the Portland metropolitan area's American Indian and Alaska Native community for over 40 years.
