Oscar Arana

Interim CEO at NAYA Family Center

Oscar Arana is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in community development and organizational leadership. Currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer at the NAYA Family Center since April 2017, Oscar has significantly enhanced the organization's programs aimed at supporting the Portland-metro Native community. Previously, Oscar held the position of Community Development Director at NAYA, where achievements included the expansion of the affordable housing portfolio from 93 to 258 units. Other notable roles include President of the Hispanic Metropolitan Chamber, where organizational grant funds more than doubled, and Multnomah County Field Director for Senator Ron Wyden, acting as a key liaison in the community. Oscar's background in media includes reporting for the Associated Press and producing live newscasts at KAPP-TV. Academically, Oscar holds an MBA with an emphasis in strategy and marketing from the University of Oregon's Lundquist College of Business and a BA in Journalism and Communications from the University of Oregon.
