NAYA Family Center
Sonova Aiken has a background in psychology and extensive experience in social services. Currently serving as the Pathways to Adulthood ILP at NAYA Family Center since August 2022, Sonova previously worked as a Residential Coordinator at Central City Concern from November 2018 to August 2022 and as a Residential Associate at Columbiacare from July 2017 to November 2018. Earlier experience includes a position at Clatsop Community College, where Sonova worked in the bookstore from September 2012 to June 2014. Sonova holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Portland State University, where studies were completed from 2015 to 2017.

NAYA Family Center's mission is "to enhance the diverse strengths of our youth and families in partnership with the community through cultural identity and education." The Native American Youth and Family Center in Portland, Oregon, works to enrich the lives of our Native youth and families through education, community involvement, and culturally specific programming. We have provided educational services, cultural arts programming, and direct support to reduce poverty to the Portland metropolitan area's American Indian and Alaska Native community for over 40 years.
