Brendon Keenan has extensive work experience in the construction industry. Brendon began their career in 1998 as a Building Cadet at McMillan & Lockwood PN Ltd, where they gained knowledge and skills in various aspects of commercial construction. Brendon worked in roles such as carpentry, foreman, site management, project management, and quantity surveying.
In 2007, Keenan joined Lockwood Naylor as a Site Manager, where they were responsible for overseeing construction sites. Brendon worked in this role until December 2008.
From 2010 onwards, Keenan joined Naylor Love, starting as a Site Foreman and later transitioning into the role of Systems Administrator/Site Foreman at the Burwood Hospital site. Brendon'sresponsibilities included scoping of works, arranging subcontractors, monitoring progress, programming, and client/consultant liaison. Brendon managed a site with over 50 different work faces divided into 6 zones. Keenan then progressed to the role of Project Manager and eventually Senior Project Manager.
Throughout their career, Keenan has worked on various projects, including the reconstruction of heritage-listed buildings in Christs College after the earthquakes of 2010/2011.
Brendon Keenan began their education at St. Peters College Palmerston North from 1990 to 1996, where they obtained their University Entrance qualification. Later, they pursued Construction Management/ Quantity Surveying at The Open Polytechnic of New Zealand from 2009 to 2012, resulting in the completion of their NDCM degree.
