Daniel Beben

Daniel Beben is an Associate Professor of History and Religious Studies at Nazarbayev University, where tenure began in August 2015, following a role as Assistant Professor in the same department. Prior experience includes serving as a Dissertation Fellow at the Center for Global Islamic Studies at George Mason University from September 2014 to July 2015, and as an Associate Instructor at Indiana University Bloomington from August 2010 to May 2012. Daniel Beben holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in History and Central Eurasian Studies, earned from Indiana University Bloomington between 2009 and 2015, as well as a Master of Arts in the same field from the same institution, completed in 2009.
