Eric Wente

Eric Wente is an experienced educator and student support professional currently serving as a Senior Teaching Fellow for Student Advising at Nazarbayev University since January 2021. In this role, Eric facilitates departmental goal-setting, coordinates training opportunities, and promotes inclusive education policies while overseeing student orientation for approximately 750 incoming students. Prior to this role, Eric worked at Savannah College of Art and Design from 2012 to 2021, holding various positions including Assistant Director of Student Success, Counselor in Residence, and Academic Advisor. Responsibilities included managing student success initiatives across multiple departments, providing crisis response, and enhancing student retention through proactive advising and wellness programming. Eric holds a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from South University and a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences from Armstrong State University.
