Luis Ramón Rojas-Solórzano

Luis Ramón Rojas-Solórzano serves as the Associate Provost for Graduate Studies at Nazarbayev University, where oversight of academic and administrative support for graduate students and post-doctoral scholars is a key responsibility. With extensive experience in academia and research, Rojas-Solórzano also holds the position of Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Nazarbayev University Research and Innovation System (NURIS), directing board activities and ensuring effective governance. Previously, Rojas-Solórzano has served in various capacities, including Associate Professor, Director of Graduate Studies, and Director of Ph.D. Studies in Science, Engineering and Technology within the School of Engineering and Digital Sciences. Additionally, Rojas-Solórzano has contributed as an Associate Editor for the Journal of Applied Fluid Mechanics and has held notable consultant roles in clean energy technologies. An invited professor and lecturer at respected institutions, Rojas-Solórzano's educational background includes a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and advanced degrees from Universidad Simón Bolívar.
