Maya Fitzstephens

Maya Fitzstephens is an accomplished professional with experience in media partnerships and strategic communications. Currently serving as the Associate Manager of Media Partnerships at the National Basketball Association since March 2025, Maya previously worked as a Strategic Partnerships Specialist and Coordinator at New York Road Runners from May 2022 to March 2025. Prior experience includes serving as an Executive Personal Assistant at Functional Homes, Inc., where responsibilities included establishing business accounts and managing the CEO’s schedule. Maya also contributed to communications and finance efforts as a Fellow for a Michigan Congressional Campaign, where skills in branding, social media management, and donor research were developed. Earlier in the career, Maya worked as a Research Assistant at the Institute for Social Research, analyzing algorithm biases and survey data. Maya holds dual Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Media and Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Michigan.
