Samuel Banks has extensive experience in sports operations and management, currently serving as the Director of Ticket Operations at the National Basketball Association (NBA) since December 2012, where responsibilities include overseeing ticket sales and collaborating with all 30 NBA teams to maximize revenue. Prior to this role, Samuel was a Basketball Operations Assistant at the NBA, assisting the President with data-driven models related to free agency and player discipline. In addition to NBA work, Samuel is an Advisory Board Member and Executive Director of the Vertiqal Social Engagement, Equity, & Development (SEED) program, focused on mentoring young adults from historically marginalized groups. Previous experience includes support for broadcasting communications with Major League Soccer, assisting with ticketing operations for significant league events. Samuel holds multiple advanced degrees, including a Master of Science in Negotiation & Conflict Resolution from Columbia University and a Master of Science in Sports Business from New York University.
