Summer Xia

Summer Xia currently serves as the Director of Business Development for Global Partnerships & Media at the National Basketball Association (NBA) since January 2025. Previously, Summer held the position of Director of Global Partnerships Development with the Cleveland Cavaliers from June 2015 to December 2024, where Summer successfully cultivated 25 integrated marketing partnerships, generating over $100 million in revenue, and led international partnership strategies across multiple regions. Summer's early career included internships at the Kansas City Chiefs and the NFL International Office, as well as an assistant role at the University of Illinois Ice Arena. Summer holds a Master of Science in Recreation, Sport & Tourism from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, a Master Certification in Sports Gambling Education from Ohio University, and a Bachelor's degree in Sports Management from Beijing Sport University.
