Alex Gertsen, CAM, C.M., ACE, is a seasoned aviation professional with extensive experience in airport advocacy and infrastructure. Currently serving as the Sr. Director of Airport Advocacy and Vertical Infrastructure at the National Business Aviation Association since November 2015, Alex previously held the role of Director of Airports and Ground Infrastructure at the same organization. In addition, Alex operates as a Contract Pilot and Charter Captain for OpenAir since July 2021. Alex founded Aviation Fury, LLC, serving as President from February 2009 until November 2015, and worked as a Technology Consultant at Team Eagle from March 2010 to May 2015. Previous roles include Director of ATC Programs at the Air Traffic Control Association, Director of Regulatory Affairs at AAAE, and various positions in Engineering, Business Development, and Marketing at Lockheed Martin. Early career highlights include work in the Office of the Press Secretary and the White House Travel Office. Alex holds a Master of Science in Technical Management from The Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from The George Washington University.
