Sport Management Paul O'Brien

Paul O'Brien, M.A. in Sport Management, currently serves as Schools Partnership Program Senior Manager for Special Olympics Northern California and Media Manager for NBC Bay Area, both since November 2021. Previously, Paul held various roles at NBC Sports Bay Area & California from 2009 to 2020, including Assistant Assignment Manager and Assignment Editor, where strong relationships with management and independent decision-making were key talents. Earlier experience at NBC Bay Area from 2002 to 2009 as Webcast Producer/Assignment Editor/Sports Producer earned Paul two “NBC Ovation” awards for exceptional teamwork. Educational background includes a Master's degree from the University of San Francisco and a Bachelor's degree from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University.
