Ofir Barnea

Ofir Barnea is an experienced leader in the media production industry, currently serving as Vice President of Production Planning & Strategy at NBCUniversal since December 2020, following a successful tenure at WNBC where Barnea held several positions including Senior Director, overseeing a team of 20 and driving performance across technical operations and production. Barnea has been instrumental in implementing standards and creative solutions in production, enhancing inter-departmental collaboration, and managing major projects that significantly reduced budgets while improving workflow and productivity. With a strong background in production technologies, Barnea has directed live television broadcasts across various formats and played a critical role in the transition from analog to digital production systems in major networks. Barnea holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication from Emerson College and has been a member of the Directors Guild of America since 2004, receiving recognition as a NYNATAS Emmy Award winner.
